6:45–7:15 pm Sharing Circle
The aim of these sessions is to create a space where men from all cultural backgrounds, spiritual beliefs, professions, and ways of being and living feel welcomed and at ease to share a moment of community—redefining what it means to be and act as a man, with oneself, in relationships, in family, friendship, work, society, and the world, both individually and collectively. This men’s circle is also a time to reflect on what it means to be in conflict internally and/or externally, and what it means to find freedom both inwardly and outwardly.
We are all connected, and we all go through similar joys and struggles. As men, we have often been raised by our parents and our environment to adopt a mindset of war—shaped by competition, aggression, egocentrism, the pursuit of power, control, and domination. It is time to free ourselves from this destructive heritage, to reclaim our inner power, and to reconnect to the original spirit within us—the spirit of peace. A man at peace brings reconciliation rather than separation. He stands tall, with confidence, clarity, kindness, and courage, both in himself and in life, and steps into the world with infinite love and the eternal peace that resides within us all.
After being subjected for millennia to the dominance of men and the patriarchy, women are completing their emancipation and claiming equal rights with men in all areas of society. Many men remain perplexed, feel challenged, and wonder what place the “new man” holds today. What is his role, identity, and evolution in these times of transformation? What values can he hold on to, and which must he let go of?
Through these men’s circles, through sharing, authenticity, and the free expression of our thoughts and feelings, we create a space and time to reconnect as men—to come out of isolation, violence, shame, and the pain imposed by society and our environments. We explore, both personally and interpersonally, the condition of:
We explore these three paths through the body, emotions, thoughts, and spirit, viewed through both the masculine and feminine lenses. We delve into major archetypal male roles: the man as son, brother, friend, lover/husband, colleague, worker, father, grandfather, hero or loser, loved or hated, protective knight, nurturing farmer, healer, or spiritual guide.

Claudio Lamsa was born in Switzerland, to a Swiss-German mother and an English father. He spent his early years in Angola, where a civil war was raging. At the age of 8, the impact of the war led his mother to flee the country with him and his two brothers and sisters, leaving his father behind to continue his fight for an independent and sovereign Angola.
The theme of reconciliation and human liberation has always been central in his family, beginning with spirituality through his two grandfather pastors, then on to politics and economics. For 10 years, Claudio set out on a path of spiritual and existential quest, traveling through different cultures and experiences “in search of what connects all things.” He practiced meditation and yoga in Indian ashrams, studied qi gong in China and Nepal, and served as a monk in monasteries in Japan, where he completed a 1,400 km silent pilgrimage to break through inner barriers.
This journey led him to explore the mechanisms of ego and to reach inner peace by letting go of the world and reconnecting to the true essence of reality. After 10 years of meditation and silence, including three months of solitary introspection in a hut in the Himalayas, he experienced liberation by “no longer seeking to be someone,” preferring instead to be fully present to life rather than reject it.
When he returned to the West, he met his partner, started a family, and pursued a professional career in Africa and then in Europe. For several years, he lived in Sweden and the United States, where he facilitated circles and retreats for men. He now lives in Montreux and has launched a circle of men exploring the path of the peaceful man. Claudio is a certified Life Coach (Reconcile with Life) and has been serving as a youth pastor at the Village Mosaïque since September 2022.
