Laboratory Service

the lab cult of mosaic village

Why “Laboratory”?

Far from “being a place where we are spectators or consumers, the” church is for us a laboratory where we learn and experiment together how to be just, compassionate and courageous – in other words, Christ-like. We draw upon our texts, traditions, reason, and experience to guide and inspire us. It is through dialogue, creation, and experimentation together that we best advance on the path with Christ. It is in this spirit that we gather to:

  • renew our communion with Christ and with one another
  • deepen our understanding of the Scriptures
  • broaden our understanding of who our neighbor is
  • practice justice, peace, and forgiveness

This space, this sanctuary, should be like a laboratory - a safe place where we can learn to welcome and receive people different from us; to change our behavior when it is not an act of love towards our neighbor; to practice asking for and giving forgiveness when people make mistakes; and to broaden our understanding of God through the eyes of the Other.

Our services take place every Sunday at 10:00 AM according to the following schedule:

1st Sunday: Service “Laboratory”, an intergenerational and creative celebration

2nd Sunday: English communion service for all ages

3rd Sunday: Service “Laboratory”

4th Sunday: French service with Holy Communion
