Circle of Forgiveness

An experience to heal the wounds of the heart

The Circle of Forgiveness is an invitation to participate in a collective experience centered on forgiveness, in a caring and respectful setting. Founded in 2012 by Olivier Clerc, the Forgiveness Circles are now developed and promoted by the Association Pardon International (API).

This approach suggests viewing forgiveness first and foremost as a process to be experienced. Through a transpersonal ritual experienced in a group setting, everyone is invited to forgive others as well as themselves—even when the people involved are not present.

The goal is to gradually let go of certain hurts and free ourselves from feelings such as resentment, sadness, or hatred that may continue to weigh on our lives and relationships.

Forgiving doesn't mean accepting everything

One of the distinctive features of this approach is that it offers a different understanding of forgiveness.

Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, excusing, or condoning what happened. Nor does it necessarily imply reconciling with the other person. The Forgiveness Circles approach thus combines the path to inner peace with discernment and the ability to continue setting appropriate boundaries.

Furthermore, there is no need to publicly discuss the personal situations or wounds that led to one’s decision to participate: the flyer for the Circle event held at Village Mosaïque specifies that the process can be experienced without having to discuss one’s personal issues or wounds in front of others.

The Forgiveness Circle at Village Mosaïque

At Village Mosaïque, the Circle is led by Claudio Da Silva Neto, a facilitator certified by the Association Pardon International (API).

The Forgiveness Circle is an opportunity to take some time for yourself and, as part of a group, explore a different way of approaching forgiveness and the wounds of the past.

A space to lighten the burden on your heart and move forward with greater peace and inner freedom.
